PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OPTIONS AND COMMANDS HAVE CHANGED.
Please review the documentation and help screens if you
have problems. If you are using OS/2 2.0 THIS VERSION REQUIRES
the IBM OS/2 2.0 fixes in OS/2 2.0 Standard Edition Service Pack
XR06055 or the mouse and synchronous child session execution will
not work correctly. SP XR06055 is available from your IBM
representative and some BBSes.
WHAT'S NEW FOR VERSION 2.0
o 32-bit OS/2 2.x program.
o Fully HPFS/IFS compatible with two IFS directory screen modes.
o Listing capability for six default kinds of archive files
(ARC, ARJ, LZH, RAM, ZIP and ZOO) plus the capability for user
defined archive programs.
o Attribute setting capability.
o More video modes.
o Execute DOS programs from LOOK2.
o And more!
THIS PACKAGES SHOULD INCLUDE:
LOOK2.EXE - 32-bit OS/2 file viewing utility.
KEYRATE.EXE - OS/2 session keyboard typematic rate setting program.
LOOK2.DOC - LOOK2 documentation.
LOOK2.REG - LOOK2 registration form.
README.LK - This file.
SYSOP.MSG - Message to BBS sysop's.
If you want to speed up or slow down LOOK2's keyboard response, use
KEYRATE.EXE to set the keyboard delay/typematic rate. KEYRATE will
effect all OS/2 sessions, but it must be executed in a full-screen
session. Syntax is:
KEYRATE delay-milleseconds characters-per-second
An even better way to execute KEYRATE.EXE is from CONFIG.SYS with the
CALL statement. For example:
CALL=KEYRATE.EXE 100 30
Thanks for trying LOOK2 Version 2.1!
